To make any online business profitable takes staying power. On this page you are going to see more different ways to build your online presence. This is important and you need to understand in some markets the so called gurus seem to be making the money leaving most of us emptying our pockets to them wishing for the American Dream. This is called affiliate Marketing. In Network Marketing this can be different leaving you in more control of your destiny. Sometimes Network Marketing like Affiliate marketing misrepresents itself by showing you the fancy car parked in the driveway, or the picture of that certain person waving to you from their yacht. Oh! I can’t forget the pictures of the fancy mansion they live in. Do you know what they leave out of the advertisement they present to you, “This could be you”?

This business takes work. The work can be rewarding when you follow the business plan. Imagine your Ambit Energy business as a franchise minus the $100,000 to millions of dollars less than a regular franchise. In a franchise you have to operate under the franchise agreements to be successful. If you do anything out of the normal you risk losing your franchise. In a franchise the business plan for success is given to you and all you have to do is follow the plan. This is the same with your Ambit Energy business. If you follow the plan that is laid out for you, you will be successful.

Learn To Master The Invitation!
The strongest area of your business plan should be to master the Invitation. Think of this as you are inviting people to a milestone party that can change their life. You can’t have the party until a certain date. Then make it a point to schedule a follow up call with them (their certain date). If they go to the party (your website) they are sure to get something out of it. What you need to know all you are doing is inviting people to look at the Ambit Energy Opportunity. If they turn you down that is a regret just like anyone that can’t make the party so you put them on your regrets list. You may want to try to invite them again later, make them a customer, or just move on to someone else. Let your Ambit Energy websites do the work for you. Do not try to be the sales person, the energy or Ambit Energy expert.
People like to be informed and no one likes to be sold.
All you are doing is inviting people to look at your Ambit Energy websites, and then if they want to know more, you invite them to a meeting or webinar to find out more. Or simply connect with one of your upper ranking consultants, in this case me or the person who enrolled you, in a three way call to get their questions answered. In some cases they cant wait to get started in which case you congratulate them and start helping them get familiar with the benefits of being an Ambit Energy Consultant and their website.
When you get the ranking consultant on the phone with them this his helps take the pressure off you and you just learned the first step in a duplication method. This method has worked for all the successful Ambit Energy Consultants and will work for you and your team. Remember one rule with this method let your team leader or ranking consultant do all the speaking for you. He or she is the authority to help you. If you interfere he or she loses that confidence and your prospect will lose confidence also. When your prospect gets on the call with you and your team leader give him a good introduction and do not say anything more until the end of the call. Let him or her take the lead. Remember people helping people this is how to succeed with Ambit Energy.
Getting To Know Blogs and How They Can Help You With Your Online Presence
For me this is going to be the fun entry into this training. I am relatively new to blogging but I have learned allot over the past year. Just like any of the other sections and entries learning to network online takes time. You have to be patient. Keep yourself enthused by working your warm market while working on your online marketing. This way your online marketing will be working for you when you will eventually need it. Try if you can integrating online marketing with offline marketing. By working both markets is the key to success. Keep in mind not to expect results over night. This just like marketing is a skill that needs nurturing and to be developed. It is just like I had said earlier in this training. You and I will get there but it is a constant work in progress. Don’t give up because you are giving up on your dreams. I have given you many examples of good marketers. Learn from me and take the time to learn from them. I told you I was not going to reinvent the wheel with this training. This is why I gave you very good examples of leaders with Ambit Energy. Now it is my turn to show you a way you can increase your presence online and not empty your pockets in the process.
The best part of blogging is you really do not have to know good copy or be a literary genius. Some copy may be helpful but for the most part know your niche and provide good relevant content in your words. Be yourself as much as possible and write not for you but to your audience. Your audience will eventually respond to you. This is not my first blog and when I find the time I am going to go back and continue what I had started, but better this time (Finding Financial Freedom). When I finally got the message Ambit Energy was coming to Pennsylvania I had abandon that blog for this one and now I wish I had kept up with it. I know it it will be a chore to regain the readers but, I do know the content will be better this time because I learned so much about doing the research. The research will be the hardest chore for you to start with but, website or blog your research and content are critical.
That last statement reminded me with a rule I want to share with you before we move on. It is great to have pictures and video to make your blog more interesting but, they do not add to your content. Search Engines actually read your blog or website looking for good content and the cannot read pictures and video. So remember good content and only good content is going to make your blog or website.
What I will start you off with is Blogger.com. With blogger you can start your blog for free. Google does a great job of providing you with a ready to go website that is easy to build once you learn the basics. Other than advice you get from Word Press snobs Blogger is a great place to begin.
Why?
Because you are directly connected with Google and Google is the influence of all the Search Engines. The one warning you need to know with Blogger, you do have to pay close attention to the Terms and Conditions to make sure your blog is not taken down. Be respectful of Trademarks and Copy Rights. You do this by footnoting like you used to in your Term Papers in school. Just make sure the credit goes where it is due and in the process you look good and you help drive traffic to your blog from the sources you used in your blog.
I am going to take a moment to introduce you to Bob Gatchel. If you read the Understanding Interactive Blogs entry in this blog you will find that Bob has a big influence on me. I took the time one day to get for free Bob’s Internet Riches Made Easy. Bob is a big proponent of blogging. Bob even though he uses Word Press, he favors using Blogger. I was so impressed with The Internet Riches Made Easy I went back I got the version that you pay for, for $37.00. In the paid version you get step by step manual (e-book) and training videos on many different ways to make money on the Internet. There are helpful things you will learn that you can use to help you build and raise funds for you and your Ambit Energy Business. I highly suggest you learn from Bob Gatchel. I would still be fumbling around with websites if it was not for Bob’s influence. Bob also teaches you how to protect yourself and your Blogger blog from people spamming your blog. He also teaches you how to monetize your blog for peak performance. You will learn how to use gadgets on your blog to draw an interest to it. A Look Into Word Press As A Blogging And Website Option
Word Press is a free service you can use to help you build your blogs and websites. If you go to WordPress.com you will find a blogging platform you can use just by logging into that platform and using the Word Press dashboard to navigate your blog setup. There are other options to the WordPress.com website that you can give your blog more space to help your blog grow, optimize your blogs performance, or give your blog its own unique web address or URL. These however are paid services.
There is another Word Press format that can be used where the platform is downloaded to your own website or unique web-address. This platform comes from WordPress.org. With this format you can get your URL and website from any web host of your choice and download the Word Press blog or website to your URL. At this point you can design your own site. You can do this in one step if you use GoDaddy.com as your web host.
I have set up a Word Press Blog and it really did not take too much more time than blogger for the initial set up. There are differences between the two but just like Blogger using Word Press for hosting your blog is free at WordPress.com. What you need to know is, you have to let Word Press advertise on your blog where with Blogger if you build your blog’s content over time you can have Google advertise on your blog using AdSense, and get paid for adding Adsence to your blog. There is a charge if you do not want to have Word Press advertise on your blog. There are other charges associated with Word Press that are not charged with blogger. This is not a criticism of Word Press I have seen so many great looking Word Press blogs and websites. There is a true versatility with Word Press that is not present with Blogger. The most important thing to remember with both formats your blog is a vehicle for your content and if your content is good your blog will perform well. I still say Blogger is a whole lot easier to use for beginners and you get great support from Google in helping you build your blog. As your skills increase you may want to try Word Press. The way I analyze the two is it is the difference between driving a Volkswagen and a Mercedes. Both will get you where you are going it just depends on how you want to get there.
An Important Note:
You can now add AdSense to your Word Press blogs and websites. This may be a good option to add revenue to your marketing scheme. Remember that just like Blogger you have to build content over time on only one blog or website to be able to advertise with AdSense. After your initial approval you can add AdSense to any blog or website you would like.
I highly suggest if you do want to go with a website format instead of a blog format to look more into WordPress.org. Some of the best technicians on the web are with Word Press and the support is also very good.
