Appeasing The Tire Kickers


Network Marketing is one of the most misunderstood ways of looking at an opportunity or marketing an opportunity. Week after week people look through this blog as well as many other websites with individuals proposing their Network Marketing Businesses. So many of us are that typical Network Marketer, while many like me work to fight off that tag completely. Marketing is not just marketing and not everyone succeeds at it. Not all marketers are your typical sales person and this is the psychology you have to use to succeed in any marketing or Network Marketing business. The person that is the good Network Marketer is the one who is interested in helping people to change their lives, help them grow their income and offer good products or services that are a good value to their consumers. Yes, there are many training and lead generation resources out there but what is the sense of me sending you to them if you not going to follow through this as an opportunity you may have chosen. People have to understand that Network Marketing is still a job whether they are planning to work at it part-time or fulltime. The income opportunity is only what you make it. You have to put a constant effort into building your business and you have to realize that there are no handouts if you want to succeed with a company like Ambit Energy. Many of us can be an Ambit Energy Consultant but choose not to. To sum it all up many can be a consultant but Network Marketing is not for everyone but, just because someone else failed to follow through as a Network Marketer that does not mean this opportunity is not for you.

With any company that has a network marketing platform the company is trying to get the individuals who represent them promote a personal touch rather than having individuals trying to convince people they will be getting rich by selling their products. Many individuals as a beginner as well as seasoned Network Marketers get this wrong. Many Network Marketers think they have to present the product instead of letting the product present itself. Invite individuals to use the product and then through referral the product will start presenting itself. Not having a good or out dated marketing method is the biggest problem with Network Marketers who promote getting rich instead of promoting themselves and the products they are offering. This is the difference between offering an invitation to a prospective consultant or customer and selling someone on being a consultant or customer. The good Network Marketers have perfected the invitation. They make you feel at home and offer solutions to your concerns rather than options to get started or where should I deliver the products you do not want to. Making the decision to get involved in a Network Marketing Business is a tough one. You have to consider the reputations of individuals that have presented Network Marketing the wrong way and if you are innovative enough to overcome the past reputation. You have to be aware of the positives and the negatives and stay encouraged instead of getting discouraged with your opportunity. You have to consider whether you can work independently and really work toward a secure future or simply have a job you can go to every day. You have to believe you are a Network Marketing Reformer rather than your typical network marketer. By following the innovations and the leadership offered to you in your opportunity you can achieve this. For you if the positives outweigh the negatives being an Ambit Energy Consultant will be right for you. With Ambit Energy there are no inventories to keep, there is no shipping for you to do with all the heavy work done for you. This very well could be one of the positives you can consider when making you decision. You are simply referring people to a service they need anyway. This is where you are the one to decide if a company like Ambit Energy is right for you or you are the one that follows the crowd and says Network Marketing does not work. But, that should not stop you from being a customer and enjoying some of the benefits of being an Ambit Energy Customer. It should be as easy as once you click away from this blog that is that. On the other hand if you are good at working with people this should be a reason to stop back to this blog and do more research.

Understanding Energy Deregulation in Your Area


So many individuals have so many questions on deregulation and who to believe. For over seven months I have been depending on Pa Power Switch to answer some of these questions. When PP&L Territory opened to Ambit Energy Customers I had found that their website was a great place to send customers in the PPL Terittoryto for any information that potential customers wanted verified. For customers I have in the PECO distribution area until now there was not a good source for information. From now on Ambit Energy customers and prospective customers can now go to PECOanswers.com to compare you Ambit Energy Rates with PECO energy rates. If you are an Ambit Energy Variable Rate Customer you can periodically check this website for the next rate increase PECO may have. With the information you get from PECOanswers.com you can gage any rate increase or decrease in your Ambit Energy Rate. Ambit Energy has a formula for that rate which typically holds on a curve that saves you fifteen percent over your total PECO bill.

Until further notice you can get a guaranteed fixed rate for one year with no cancellation fees / penalties for one year. This means if Ambit Energy’s variable rate or the current fixed rate rises or falls from the current rates you can re-sign with the Ambit Energy plan of your choice with no cancellation fee.

By referring people to PECOanswers.com and PA Power Switch is no threat to me as a consultant. As you can find out from other blog posts on this blog-site I want Individuals to get the answers they are seeking. Energy Deregulation is new to Pennsylvanians and as an energy consultant I want to make sure you as the consumer do not only want you to get your questions answered but, I want to make sure you get the right answer to your question. PECOs regular website was not consumer friendly or you had to be a Civil Lawyer to read anything on that site let alone find out what exactly what PECO was charging you.

What PECO is not telling you even on the PECO Answers website is unless you have one of PECO’s Plans or you have not signed with an Independent Supplier, a company like Ambit Energy, you are paying the default rate on your Energy. This word default in this case does not mean that you are in financial trouble with PECO it simply means that you have not found another provider or a PECO program for your home energy needs.

One program that is still active with PECO is the RH program. This stands for residential heating. This means September through May you get a reduced rate after 500 kilo-watt hours of usage every billing period. During the summer months when electricity is in its highest demand you pay an increased rate above the default rate as a condition of this contract. There is another plan for homes that have a separate meter for their electric hot water heaters which is more and Off Peak Rate.

RH rates and how they work
As part of Pennsylvania's transition to a fully competitive electric market, utilities will be moving to single energy prices for customers as required by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.
As part of this, beginning January 1, 2012 and through the end of 2012, PECO will be phasing-out the discounted generation prices currently offered to residential heating and off-peak customers. Specifically the discounted generation price will be reduced in half on January 1, 2012 and then end on December 31, 2012. These charges will affect only the price you pay for the electricity you use. PECO's discount on our charges to deliver electricity to you will remain.

 Some background on RH rates.
RH stands for Residential Heating rate. PECO's RH rate currently provides a discount on the additional electricity used during the winter months when electric heating customers use more electricity to heat their homes.

 Some background on OP rates.
OP stands for Off-Peak rate. PECO's OP rate currently provides discounts on the electricity used during off-peak times – typically by a specific appliance like a hot water heater. During the summer months of June through September, 1:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. is considered peak energy use. During the winter months of October through May, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. is considered peak energy use.

My hat is off to PECO with this website. This site is very easy to navigate and understand it also has listings for programs that are available for lower and fixed income people that you can seek eligibility through PECO themselves or grants to PECO through the state of Pennsylvania.
If you were to call me and you were already on one of these pr0gams I would not move you. If you were to call me and you said you were struggling and needed to save money because of an income loss as a good consultant I would refer you to one of these programs first. I represent Ambit Energy, and as a consultant I would like to make sure everyone can pay their bill. Yes, you can sign with Ambit Energy as being a present PECO customer but if you cannot pay your bill for some reason you still could have your electricity shut off for nonpayment you will be subject to penalties for reconnection and go back to paying PECO’s default rate. If you do not qualify for one of these programs for one reason which could be you still make too much money to enter the program, I would be more than glad to save you money on your electric bill with Ambit Energy. This is my job as a consultant that wants a good reputation with his customers and referrals. This is what the Ambit Energy marketing plan is all about good referrals, and good referrals make good customers and consultants.

PECO Answers Website Gives an Explanation of Your Bill
You get an explanation of your bill in the PECOanswers.com website. I carry a modified version of my energy bill with me to show individuals who I talk to about becoming an Ambit Energy Customers. PECOanswers.com actually simplifies that process in PECO’s words and verifies any information I give potential customers. This is the single most noted concern most people have. When you have the products Ambit Energy has that will save people money and it costs them nothing to switch but, they will pay the default rate because they do not know how to read their energy bill. PECOanswers.com is a very helpful tool to you as a consumer and me as a consultant in understanding your bill by showing you how you are and what you are being charged.

As being a Pennsylvanian, again I truly appreciate the effort that PECO and Exelon are taking to lower the emissions from fossil fuel generating plants. Agree with Exelon or not, PECO and Exelon are doing this by using nuclear energy and renewable recourses. I had read a brief article on how PECO and Exelon were going to slowly shut down their fossil fuel plants by using nuclear and green energy to accomplish their goal.  The final part of the PECO / Exelon plan to shut down these fossil fuel plants is using Energy Deregulation by using the benefits of competition is another part of this plan to accomplish their goals.

Even when you switch suppliers with a company like Ambit Energy you can still depend on the good service you get from PECO Energy. By browsing through the PECO Answers website addresses that concern. PECO Energy, along with the help of neighboring Energy distributors in real emergency cases, will still will get the energy to your door in an emergency. Remember because you switch suppliers as your right with energy deregulation the same quality service we have enjoyed from PECO Energy will still be available you to in getting the energy to your door. Think Part Time When Starting Your Ambit Energy Business


I came up with this entry after reading the statistics for this blog the other day. The key words that were entered into the search from someone looking into Ambit Energy were, “how much can I make with Ambit Energy”? The answer to that question could be infinitive. The real truth is there is a finite number which is for the moment less than the leading money earner National Consultant Brian McClure.

The one thing most people do not understand about making money with a company like Ambit Energy is the leading consultants are paid by the network they bring into they’re Ambit Energy business with them. Brian himself had to start somewhere. He has gone from business to business building a network for years. Brian most likely started out part time and was persistent enough to build a large network. Brian is well respected, well liked, and the top trainer with Ambit Energy.

Could you be like Brian McClure?

The answer is yes. But what people forget about Network Marketing is all they see is the results of people who have worked hard for years and they think this business going to be instant success for them. Most of the top money earners with Ambit Energy were involved in Network Marketing before they started with Ambit Energy. Or, at the least have been involved in some kind of sales oriented organization with many people to refer to. You have to have a list to get started it is that plain and simple. This means they brought at the least some of their top networkers or other sales leaders with them. This is where you have to think like a developer instead of a millionaire when you start with a company like Ambit Energy. You have to look more at developing a team more than thinking of your earnings to start or you will be like many others who have tried with little or no success. If you look at the video Energy 526 you will see what the income potential is. But basically what I was saying in last week’s post is I can bring you into the business but if you are not willing to work how are we both going to benefit? This really is not the get rich quick scheme that is associated with Network Marketing Companies in the past. There is a real viable company here with a true history for five years which is financially secure according to Inc. Magazine in 2010. I am not going to chase down people who don’t want to work and just get rich or someone that did not want to be a consultant to begin with. It just does not work that way with me. I have seen too many people who get out of the gate and quit because they do not see or understand the work involved. This has to be a consultant’s biggest frustration. In fact I know it is the biggest frustrations to a consultant, especially when you are getting started. You can’t be swayed by negative people and you have to have a direct route to where you want to be with your goals. To be a Brian McClure you have to build a team and it takes time, patience and persistence.

The last thing I want to comment on is you need to do what is comfortable for you. Some consultants / Coaches think you have to be a top earner to be successful. My belief as a coach and a consultant this is not true. This adds too much pressure to those who are just starting out. Your and only your ambitions should take you as far as you want to go. I believe you can have a competive nature and set up boundaries so you do not feel disappointed that others are more productive than you. I believe I am an example of that. You are not going into business to feel like you have a boss however you have to put consistent effort in you Ambit Energy business to be successful. Let me remind you it is your business and it is up to you what your goals are. If all you do is want to make an extra income just by working part-time that is all what is all about. This takes the stress out of being a good consultant. You can be an excellent consultant and still only work part-time. Even if you stay at it part-time there is a potential for a real good part-time income. This is what many consultants / coaches forget about when marketing their business and that is why so many people get turned off with Network Marketers. Everybody thinks that you have to be a millionaire to be a to be successful as a consultant with Ambit Energy. What I have to say is do what you want to be comfortable and what is right to you. And I will say it again, “after all it is going to be your business”!

In the Smart Start Training Part 2 I introduce you to the team of people I look to for my training. I do this because when it comes to training these people are a real cornerstone of what to expect and do as an Ambit Energy Consultant. They are direct marketers and are good at drafting people off the street. Therefore I am not going to reinvent the wheel with that potion of the training. In Part three and four of the Smart Start Training I give you ideas to start building your presence on the internet as an alternative to drafting people off the street or the stereotypical Network Marketer. I and many other consultants do both. My reason is I only have limited exposure due to my disability which is being legally blind. I rely on advertising for most of my leads. However, that does not mean if I like what I see in someone I meet I do give them my business card and tell them a little of what I do and invite them to view Energy 526. That’s it.

Can you do this? The answer is yes.

Can you make money at this? The answer is yes you can.

Can you be successful at this? The answer is you do not have to be the leading money earner to be successful. Your success depends on what you need for you and your family and only has to be determined by your expectations and how hard you want to work. You need to put the WORK into your Network Marketing to reach your potential with Ambit Energy!

If We Need To Convince You No One Will Benefit!


Once and a while you have to do something in appreciation for you loyal readers. I am very pleased with the many return readers that come and read this blog. Week by week I seem to be able to come up with new content on the experiences of being Ambit Energy Consultant. Whether you are a consultant or customer of Ambit Energy, you are researching to become a consultant of Ambit Energy or as in the last post (July 14, 2011) you are the competition I am pleased I have something to offer you.

When it comes to blogging content is king. I know I have made some mistakes in this blog but there are some great and some comical posts. This is a tough season  for marketing but it has been successful for this blog as its readership has increased nicely over the last two months. Content is king and it is not always about the pitch, it is about being honest with your content. For some readers it is the Content, Headline or Home Page they read on this page, others simply read and view the videos on the customer or consultant page. I do have to say my favorite people are the ones that read the Headline (Home) Page. You are the ones that will inspire me to keep on bringing you good content and you are the backbone of this blog.

If you go back and look at some of the past posts you will see some mistakes. Oh Well! What you have is the product of an ambitious consultant like many others in direct marketing. During that time I have learned to relax that a bit and give you a chance to get to know me. My first video was not my best moment in blogging but I was inspired after being out at a flea market all day just talking with people about Ambit Energy when that video just came into my head. I will soon be updating that video with a rehearsed version and move that one to a bloopers section of the Smart Start Training for its resting place in the Laughter Hall of Fame. For now it will stay where it is but unlike the other content which will stay where it is that video will be the only thing I will move.

As far as the Smart Start Training we will be adding a fifth page to include Social Marketing when I get back to it and do more of it myself. When I get back to serious social marketing I promote this blog and some others I am working on. I have one I am just launching and another I have brought out of the archives. I will be promoting through Twitter and Facebook starting next month. For all you fellow marketers become a follower this should be a great ride through the fall. Go to Twitter and become a follower by going to bwscott4ambit, where every time I update one of my blogs you will know through Twitter. For me blogging has become a good pastime and not only a vehicle for sales. I know that you are going to think what am I blogging for if it is not to promote or refer?

There is a simple but easy philosophy with websites and blogs. Think of them as a big department store. You look at them to see the products and services get information about the products and services. If people like what they see they will buy that product. If people want more information they may go to another resource. So many people walk into a particular store every day a large percentage of them walk out without purchasing anything. That is the way a blog or website is. This blog lets you see what I have to offer. Some people keep on coming back and some do not. But I will get to what I really need to say is. If you really like what you see contact me but it will not do either one of us any good if I chase you down if Ambit Energy is not what you wanted as a customer or a consultant. I have decided that with this blog I am in the energy referral business. Referring customers and consultants to Ambit Energy, and I am not in the chasing customers and consultants business. Consulting With The Competition


During the Fourth of July holiday I had the honor of talking over issues with marketing for an energy company with a family member who is a Consultant for Ignite Energy. This family member is a cousin of my brother-in-law but still a family member to me at the least. This truly was a very respectful and educational meeting.

The conversation started on how we personally were doing with our businesses. Getting most of that out of the way we had talked about some of the issues on attracting customers and consultants to our businesses. One of the biggest issues we had discussed is how little faith inquiring customers and consultants have in the Energy Deregulation in Pennsylvania. I had said to her that my feeling is that people have not taken the time to educate themselves on energy deregulation and just do not understand it. I also told her that I have a customer only and a consultant only page in my blog just briefly educating my readers on Ambit Energy for consultants and Energy Deregulation and its benefits for customers. It seems that most of the people that knew about energy deregulation and acted on the savings already switched totaling one third of the households of Pennsylvania. As for the rest of the Pennsylvania Residents, they are going to be slow to switch because of rumors and the fears of if their energy provider drops them for some reason the energy will be shut off to their homes. People do not realize that their incumbent provider has to provide energy to them on a default rate which you and I already know. They must figure if they are already paying the default rate and to be safe they may as well keep on paying the default rate because they would rather do that than find out the true facts by going to PaPowerSwitch.com or call the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission to get their questions answered, or confirm what we as consultants tell them in answering their questions. I guess they would rather pay two, three, four hundred or more dollars per year depending on their consumption than fill out a simple form with one of us. Most of them do not know it costs nothing to switch to one of our providers and if they do not like us, it cost them nothing to go with another provider of switch back to their incumbent provider. The only time it costs to switch with Ambit is if they would choose Ambit’s term rate plan which secures their kilowatt-hour rate for the period of one year. The variable rate plan with both our companies they are free to switch any time they want with no charge to them. But then that is what energy deregulation is all about. It is a shame to think that some people would rather see energy deregulation fail than actually benefit from the savings and the freedom to choose your energy provider. But that is the way some people are so you just move on to someone who cares about their financial future or the savings.

At this point we had really discovered that our marketing has to be about educating our customers and consultants rather than just old fashioned Network Marketing. She had never looked at it in that light before. She had told me that because she had a salon with many loyal customers that many of her customers would follow her as a customer or a consultant with Ignite. I said that that is what I had thought when I had started with Ambit Energy. It was a no brainer for my friends and family to go with Ambit for the savings, travel benefits or the opportunity. It really has not turned out the way I thought. I also said to her I was in this business for the long haul and I am going to be around for people who are inquiring about this business instead of hunting down and trying to sponsor those who I have called and remain reluctant to sign with me. I already have the word out to them and if they come around that is great, if they do not I am not going to lose any sleep over it anymore. It’s a matter of letting people get to know us and respect us then they will sign with us. The people in my life that have the most respect for me have already signed with me. The others that are interested who are sincere seem to keep on asking me, and all the others avoid me. She said to me at that point that this was a very productive conversation; she thanked me and said she wanted to catch up with me again and talk with me but, it was time to get back to the family.

The last thing I said to her was a question and then a statement.

Did you ever notice that the top earners in your company have a lot of friends and people around them who want to be like them?

Success In Marketing Is Not Being A Marketing Secret Agent





Establishing a presence online is important but it is important to remember that you will get further in your home business by being your own representative. Your online presence gets you your leads but only if you can close the candidate you found through your lead generation. Some people are a natural with their marketing presence it seems like to me while others have to work at it. What you have to remember, the people that have been successful in marketing have worked at marketing and they had to start somewhere. Like any other skill or trade you have to develop skills. When you look at the images of success shown to you in advertising especially over the internet the first thing you need to ask your self is what did it take for that individual to get where he or she is representing in those advertisements and are you up for the challenge?

With some affiliate marketing schemes these images are just images to get you to buy their product. Without putting some serious work into a business how do you expect to reap instant rewards? No matter what they say you cannot do it on one, two or three clicks. This is true with any product you market. You have to have a presence to be successful in your marketing plan or it is only a scheme and not a plan. Some of the most successful people in marketing history have had a large presence and have become successful on that image whether using the internet or not.

You have to start somewhere with your marketing. Whether you choose Ambit Energy as that vehicle or not we want to offer you continued training to see if marketing is for you. Getting Back Into Action With The Smart Start Training






The Smart Start Training is pages in this blog that will help anyone who is interested in starting a marketing business. Yes, there are optional paid options in the training to give those who want more options to help the move their online business in the direction they want. Yet there are allot of free tools, concepts and Ideas included in the training. What is in the training will give you some knowledge to work out your own marketing scheme and implement it. It will also give you some ideas when you feel you need to make changes to improve your marketing plan when you feel a change is necessary. Remember these are Ideas and you can’t possibly have enough time to fit everything in your schedule. This is where you have to decide and pick out what is right for you. All you have to do is put the effort into your own success.




What you want to remember is Smart Start Training can be applied to other marketing concepts. Even to have a successful retail marketing concept online takes some sales skills and you have to verbally drive people to your site or it will not be successful. You have to get business cards and hand them out and declare you are in business. Basically is what I am telling you is you have to brand yourself to be a success on the street and on the web today. The Excuses And The Rumors For Not Switching To A New Energy Provider

I have been completely puzzled by some of the latest reactions from individuals I have spoken with about becoming an Ambit Energy customer. The stories I hear about Energy Deregulation and how it is failing in the state of Pennsylvania. One person said he had read it somewhere that the program was a complete failure. When I asked him where did he find the article? He said, “He did not know where he read it but he read it.” One other person said that he heard that once someone switched over by the time they got done being over taxed there was no savings left. Well everyone if you believe both of those stories I got some swamp land in Florida to sell you instead of offering you savings on your energy bill. Why? Because individuals like that only believe rumors instead of finding the true answers. The whole Idea of energy deregulation is the benefits of competition. Energy is the last monopoly to be broken up in this country by deregulation. Look at the benefits of when telecommunications was deregulated. Look at what you pay for long distance if anything at all with some of the providers and plans out there now. Look at the benefits of wireless and cellular communications. No matter what nay-sayers say, the breakup of monopolies benefits everyone. It has an impact as far as job creation as well as many others like me starting and owning their own business as well as the true savings that gets passed on to the consumer.

What I do not get is how people will make up excuses like these and call themselves American when they want to take the side of monopolies. To me when PECO (my incumbent energy distributer) tells me that the default rate for not switching is 9.99 cents per kilowatt-hour when I could be paying 8.4 cents per kilowatt-hour by switching to Ambit Energy’s variable rate plan is denying me the right to save. There is a reason that PECO is charging a default rate. Paying PECO’s default rate is like offering to pay the default rate on your credit card. How many people do you know want to pay 29.99% on their credit card when you could be paying 11.99% or less?

Let me address the issue with paying extra taxes. If an Energy provider was making me pay extra taxes I would not ask the state of Pennsylvania to scrap an energy deregulation program because it did not work. I do not think I have enough clout to accomplish such a task but, I probably would go out and find a more accommodating energy provider. This is my right in Pennsylvania to be able to do this with my thanks to energy deregulation. So I decided I want to be an Ambit Energy Customer. Why? Because when I became an Ambit Energy Consultant and over all the other companies I could have joined as a consultant, I saw the true value that Ambit Energy Offers as well as the lowest rate in the PECO Energy Distributing Territory. And here comes the stunning truth I got a 3 cent tax credit on my bill because Ambit Energy handles the taxes for us.

My Ambit and PECO Energy Bill breakdown:
Customer Charge (Standard PECO): $7.20
Distribution Charges (Standard PECO 678 kWh): $40.41
State Tax adjustment $-0.03
Ambit Energy Charges @ 8.7cents per kWh Term Rate: $58.99
My Total Bill Came To: $106.57

Everyone has to remember this this was my April Electric Bill we have not made it to July and August yet when my bill can triple. For educational purposes I will give you the breakdown of the default rate with PECO and the savings with the Ambit Energy Term Rate with my estimated year’s usage. Also keep in mind this summer the default rate with PECO Energy is going to go over 10.5 cents per kilowatt-hour. I will use just the current PECO rate in my estimate.

My Estimated Usage for this year is 13,669 Times:
PECO Default Rate @ 9.99 cents per kWh $1365.53
Ambit Term Rate @ 8.7 cents per kWh $1189.20
Yearly Savings Just for Spending Nothing to switch only
filling out one form online (or you can do it with
me over the phone): $176.33

That is not the best Part in the PECO distribution Area if you want to take Ambit Energy for a test run and discover the other benefits of being an Ambit Energy Customer you can start out at the low variable rate of 8.4 cent a kilowatt-hour and if you are not pleased you can switch back to PECO’s Default rate and pay no penalties, no nothing to switch back. Absolutely nothing to switch to Ambit Energy and Nothing to switch back to PECO if you are not satisfied!

My Bill At PECO’s Default Rate Per Year: $1365.53
If I Had The Ambit Energy Variable Rate Plan: $1148.96
The Savings would be over a year: $219.84

Look we shop for everything we pay for if we are frugal. It all can add up to savings it really does. In stretching your dollar further wouldn’t you just take a couple of moments and fill out a form. In these challenging times wouldn’t it be good to know you can really save by switching your energy provider. And don’t you want to start out with an energy provider that offers you more?

Time Management Is Essential To Operating Your Ambit Energy Business

“When I grow up I want to be like my wife!!!”

Multitasking is not one of my strongest assets. With the Easter Holiday so late in the year, a location change for our weekly Ambit Energy Meetings, and Memorial Day I have hardly had a chance to keep up with this blog. During the winter months I have a little more time on my hands because a lot of my regular work is seasonal. My Ambit Energy business is not at the point where I can leave my job and work on my business fulltime. This is the plus side of starting an Ambit Energy Business is the power of starting part-time. The tough side is always finding enough time to work on my business. Here is where I need those lessons from my wife.

The first thing I need to do is get better about using my calendar. What I need to do first is duplicate the needs and events off the family calendar my wife posts for us. I am good about using my calendar but for some reason or another I step away from keeping up with it when time seems more manageable. When the time seems manageable is when I should plan more and strive to get ahead. Seems easier said than done.

I know I need to spend more time setting and managing my weekly goals. We all know we all have to start with the ultimate Goal or Why with anything we want to achieve. As we define the larger goals we need to break them down into smaller tasks. This means if I am not going to lose track of my ultimate goal I need to break it down into monthly, weekly, and then daily tasks so the ultimate goal does not seem so overwhelming. Here is where the business plan or the game plan comes in. You have the master list of those goals you want to achieve. Keep that separate from your monthly tasks. After you have made your monthly list of tasks you bring it out to your weekly list of tasks. Where you make your weekly list of tasks. Those tasks should be categorized by their importance and then scheduled in your calendar.

One thing you have to remember that you need to keep your master list of goals visible to you at all times, to keep you excited and ambitious about achieving those goals. During the week you want rely on your calendar to keep you directed. Once a week you want to pull out your weekly and monthly goal list and mark off what you have accomplished and repost on your list and calendar what is important to you. If you find a step or a task was not that important to you anymore as you originally thought, forget about it and if it comes up later then accomplish it.

Take time monthly to develop your monthly list. Put a date and a time on your calendar to add your monthly tasks to that list. Make this a day each month without exception. When you do that schedule your time weekly to work on your weekly list. The key to it all of your lists are keeping a small notebook handy for your tasks and your thoughts. I need to get better with listing the tasks. I always seem to put down my thoughts when possible. The reason I said this is. No matter how strong or weak my time management can be at times taking notes and getting things off your mind is essential to helping you relieve the pressure of not having enough time. With the demands of our daily lives if we take the time to write something down there is less of a chance you will forget something important, help your productive time go further in life, and keep the anxiety level down.

When it comes to working with an opportunity you need to be ready to take chances. I had already had written the blog post for last week and this was an after thought. Before I had a chance to talk myself out of doing this video I had it complete. I could have had myself a little better prepared but, i was happy with most of the content. Most of it came straight from the heart. I in future videos I am basically going to explain something I would like you to see as a point or interest instead of having you read allot of text. There will still be plenty to read and you will see why when I continue with Part 4 of the Smart Start Training and the importance of adding content to your blog or website.

The last week has not been the greatest week for me. What keeps me going is I am not the only person in the world that has a bad week. The main problem stems from Information Overload. This is so true when it comes to working on the Internet and working off line simultaneously. This is a skill that takes time to master and this is why we are going to write about time management in the future.






When looking over the smart start training to date there is plenty of websites to go to and information to research and there will be more to come. What we all have to keep in mind that you cannot do everything in the smart start training. The smart stat training is there for you as a reference so before you start your business you have some idea what direction to go. There is also more to be offered once you become an Ambit Energy Independent Consultant. When you enroll with Ambit Energy you are given four websites, one of which is your Power Zone. In the power Zone are pages called Ambit University where you learn the specifics in becoming a consultant with Ambit Energy. These are training videos that are done for you from the top consultants and officials from Ambit Energy and are there for your growth as an Ambit Independent consultant. What is in Ambit University cannot be shared with you in this blog. However with me as your coach I will help you come up to speed with Ambit University and other tools offered by other consultants to help your Ambit Energy Business grow.






Even though your Ambit business is like a franchise using duplicated systems in your presentations your marketing and how you advertise your business is up to you. That is what the Smart Start Training is all about. In the Start Training we give you many examples of how to start your business and drive prospective customers and consultants to you while asking the people you know during the time your advertising campaign is being initiated. I know that sounds like a drag but, you may be surprised with the result you get. You are not selling people anything on auto ship; Energy is actually a service they need. In fact you are not selling anything. You are suggesting a service that actually saves them money or they can possibly get it for free in the Ambit Energy rebate program. This is all done in a duplicable system that works. I do make it a point to let my friends and family know I am an Ambit Energy Consultant. This does not mean I talk there ear off about Ambit or tell them how rich they are going to get. I simply ask them to take a look at my websites. Some of those individuals I remind quickly with a follow up call and some I wait until the next time I see them. Then I give them a brief reminder. If an individual does not respond I just move on to someone else. Please keep in the back of your mind, if someone has their mind made up you without them going to the presesntation you are not going to change their mind. Try again later when they have more time or just forget them there are plenty of other people you can ask, and do not take it personally. It really is just that easy.




When you start your Ambit Energy business, be in business for the long haul. Don’t get discouraged. The longer and more persistent you work at your business the better the result you will have in future.
